Harrison 3

Harrison's story:
We got to the hospital at about 8:00 am on September 18, 2007.  We were scheduled for an induction.  They got me in a bed and the IV and Potocin started by 9:00.  I was dilated to a 6 when we got there.  And the rest is kind of a blur.  The dr. came in to break my water around 9:45, by then I was at a 7.  He still hadn't dropped yet.  I got my epidural around 10:15, and as soon as I was numb I started to feel a lot of pressure.  Sure enough I was at a 10... and crowning!  The dr. came back pretty fast and a couple of pushes later...  (Don't judge, it was a fast labor, but it was rough!  I look like a train wreck... because I felt like I'd been hit by a train.  haha.)
Harrison Brent Swain was born at 10:47 am.  He was 7 lbs. 2 oz. and 20 inches long.  He had a huge knot in his cord, but there were no complications, he was handsome and healthy.  Bald as a Q-ball and easy going, not much has changed... except the hair... and he still looks like this when he sleeps...
And now...
Bubba is 3!  Officially a BIG boy!  Potty training and everything.  He is now 40 inches tall and 33 lbs.  He is the brute in our family for sure.  Wearing a 5T or 4/5 Boys in cloths and a huge size 10 shoe.  (He is only one size smaller than is big brother in everything.)  And still as handsome as ever!
He had a great day, lots of presents and attention, so...perfect. :)
Dad thought this would be funny... it wasn't... it was just kind of mean.   And he had no idea what to do about it, he just froze.  Ok, it was kind of funny.
He got lots of cool stuff.  Money, books, a remote control dump-truck, a new transformer (Bumblebee, of course).
And then... there were the DRAGONS!  He has a bit of an obsession, and he has wanted one for a LONG time.  Grandma and Papa delivered!  :)  He loved everything, but they were the clear winner. (Both boys went to bed with one tonight!)
It was a fun day, filled with Harrison's favorite things.  He watched movies, played REALLY hard with his favorite person (Jackson) and there was lots of eating.  He wanted nuggets and fries for dinner, and then we had Elams over for (real) cake and ice cream.  They also brought him a very cool hot wheels track!
He is still my little teddy bear.  Always a sweetheart... except when he's throwing toys or wrestling.  :)   He is a good brother, loves to share and be a helper.  He is also a little singer, which I LOVE.  His favorites are Follow the Prophet, Twinkle Twinkle, and Shout it Out Loud (Kiss).  haha.  I would say "I can't believe he is 3!" but truthfully, I have had a hard time remembering how young he is!  He is SO big and smart as a whip, he says things all the time that impress me or make me laugh... or both!  It's been easy to forget he was only 2.  But not anymore!  :)   It's official!  ...He says he's "not all of them (fingers), but a lot of them."  That's absolutely right.  :) (Oh how I LOVE this kid!)
He's 3!

OH MY GOSH! I haven't looked at your blog for a little bit and finally did today and I was dying laughing on some of your posts. You guys are funny!! The silly string picture and post was hilarious but the snake...not so funny to know it was on your front porch! CREEPY!! It was funny however to picture you being scared and PG trying to figure out how to get it! Thanks for the good laughs. OH, not to mention that one of your boys wants to be a Border Patrol Agent...of course! Trav said, "he wants to chase Mexicans his whole life!" Funny kids.
