ChRiStMaS EvE

This year, we got lucky and had some family here to celebrate with us.  Uncle Kenny arrived just in time for all the fun.  :)  Which means we put him to work and he spent most of Christmas Eve day cooking a giant meal for 6 people.  hahaha.  It was totally worth all the work... sooooo good!
After dinner, the kids got to exchange gifts with each other.  :)  It was really cute, they were very excited.
Then the big boys (Patrick, Kenny, Jackson and Harrison) got some Christmas Eve Dodge Ball in.  :)  They were pretty beat when they got home (and by "they" I mean Patrick and Kenny. hahaha.), but they had a LOT of fun, as usual.
Can't go without magic reindeer food.  Reagan usually eats some, just to be safe.  :)
And then it was off to bed so the magic could happen.  :)
The magic was, of course, hours and hours of assembling and wrapping and stacking!  I have NEVER been more grateful Patrick wasn't working on Christmas Eve!  Plus Kenny's help!  I wouldn't have ever gotten to bed if I hadn't had their help!  There was a kitchen and a basketball hoop!  :)  EEEK! We were super excited!

It just wouldn't be Christmas without a "Mom Fail".  I tried, I really did, but Santa proved to be harder to catch than usual.  ;)  We didn't make it in time to talk to him at our ward Christmas party... in my defense, it's at 8 am on a Saturday, and I am a single parent on Saturdays.  So... with very disappointed kids in tow, we went to the grocery store, because a little bird had told us he might be there.  Lucky for us, he was.  :)  ....and I had my camera ready.
Reagan got to sit on his lap at school too.  :)
And the boys wrote letters, so he would for sure know what they wanted.... even if all the asking in the world still didn't get them ipads or ipods.  hahaha.  Luckily, they forgave me, Christmas wasn't totally ruined, and Santa still came.  ;)

Christmas Sunday

There aren't really words... but there was a lot of giggles.  :)  They make my heart happy!
