HaPPy BiRtHDaY PaTRiCK!! To the man who always makes me laugh! You are the biggest kid I have ever met! You are always challenging me! Literally, you are the most competitive person I know! Full of big ideas and big dreams and lots of hope! It's always an adventure! I'm so very grateful for all that you do for us and the hard working person that you are!! I'm so glad that you chose me to share forever with, and for the beautiful boys we have together that remind me all the time of you! You are an amazing friend, husband and father! ...So here's to whole lot more of these! You rock my world, love of my life! ;)
(I so would have posted some awesome baby pics, but I am lacking a working scanner! Next year, for sure!!)

15 Weeks (Documented for Angie)

So I don't do prego pics! I did them every month with Jackson (I was overly excited)...I have one of me pregnant with Harrison! lol! I hate them! But I have been provoked and guilted into it! (Something about my moving far away, mean ammo you use there sister!!!) LOL

There isn't much to show, mostly just my softness! haha! (And bad posture) I did go to the doctor today and everything looks good! (Have to admit, always a little humbled by that little heartbeat!) Gave some blood, gained some weight....it's always awesome. The normal. We will have our ultrasound on Sept. 2nd. So I am NOT doing this again until at least then!!! (And even after that, it's debatable!)
(I tried really hard to kind of look happy. Because I am excited... tired, sick and scared...but excited! Just not about the picture.)

What the *$#@!!!

I could hear the boys playing this morning, they were laughing and giggling, but nothing out of the ordinary! So I went to get them some breakfast...and walked in on the most evil thing they have ever done to me! They had gotten a giant bowl of watermelon out of the fridge, (we're talking, an entire watermelon all cut up so nice) and were proceeding to launch the watermelon all over my kitchen, dining room, family room and living room! It was sliding down the walls, smashed into carpet, EVERYWHERE!!!!! It was all I could do to not kill them right then and there! I couldn't bring myself to take pictures, I was too MAD, and all my concentration was focused on controlling my temper!!!

So I made them pick up every last piece, sent them to their beds, and proceeded to mop....over and over and over again! Cleaned carpet as good as I could and then....debated on whether or not to let them ever come out of their room!

Don't worry, I fed them. And then sent them back to their room! But they are still alive, so that's something! Lets just say it's a blessing that I can't actually burn holes threw things with my eyes! In hind sight, it's probably also a blessing that I found them and not Patrick!

....AND MY STINKING FLOOR IS STILL STICKY!!!!! AHHHHHH!!!!!

Gifts, Give-Aways & Goodies!

So I have been trying to keep myself busier, with things other than the normal cleaning and folding and diapers! I desperately miss having hobbies! And while I am waiting on my scroll saw, belt sander and vinyl letter machine ;) .... I have been left to my sewing machine and the kitchen!

I made these 2 hooded towels (and 2 others for some twin boys who had a birthday, theirs had their first initial) this week. No, the pink is not wishful thinking! I made them for a RS Service Auction. I figured I would take advantage of the opportunity to make something pink. :) They were a hit! It kind of made me laugh, I had about a dozen people ask me how much I sell them for! I laughed because...it's a towel and they take like 20 minutes to make! But I have to say thanks to Liseanne for giving me the pattern! I will now be sewing towels until Christmas! LOL (And no, I am not charging for them, just the cost of the towel!) ...I need to find me a fabric resource pronto! (Other than Wally World)
And then there was the cake! Patrick volunteered me to make his favorite fresh strawberry cake (usually we do raspberry) for a work BBQ they were having today! I wouldn't have minded making it, except that it takes a couple of hours (there are steps), so it took up most of the morning. And I won't even get a piece! But hopefully it will have the effect he was hoping for, and make him the most popular guy on his shift! LOL (I had to take a pic, it turned out so pretty! The raspberries are usually so lumpy! haha!) But to be fair, he did spend his awake time this morning folding laundry, so I probably got the better end of that deal! The boys got in on the action too. They enjoyed the spoils (and the best part) of making a cake! They are really great beater lickers! :)

Rain, Rain...

My boys have a serious fear of lightning and thunder. We have been getting some great thunder storms, they just don't enjoy them like they should. So today when the storm hit, I decided to take them out on the porch and let them see that it just wasn't worth worrying about! (Something my dad used to do with us when we were kids!) Plus, we didn't have any power, so we were limited on light and distraction options!! It was great, the temperature dropped at least 20 degrees.
The pictures don't do the rain justice! It was coming down in sheets. While Jackson was standing in it, it actually started to rain harder, and it almost knocked him over! LOL!
Harrison didn't want to get wet, but he liked watching!

Squirt & Squish

We have a thing with nicknames at our house, and our kids just keep inheriting them! So just for fun I thought I should write them down, before years go by and I forget. Some of them make me laugh!

Jackson, AKA:
Action Jackson: This one has been around most of his life, the kid never stops and has been that way since birth!
Turbo & Dash: Cause he can run and run and run....and he loves to!

Dude: Most popular of all the nicknames. Because he is my little Dude!

Most recent additions -
Slow Mo: I know it's a contradiction, but when you need the kid to move it is always at this ridiculously slow pace! (So this one is for select occasions.)

Squirt: Because no matter how tall he gets he is only ever going to weight 40 lbs.

Harrison, AKA:
Yoda, Dewy & Charlie Brown: These ones didn't stick (thank goodness), but when he was a baby he had this round bald head and these ears! Love him to death, but we are really glad he got hair and his body caught up to his head! (Dewy is the youngest brother on Malcolm in the Middle, in case you were wondering. lol!)
Bubs: Because he is my little cuddly buddy! He actually responds to this one better than his name. lol! This is also what Jackson calls him, except when he is tattling.

And Recently -
Mumbles: If you have ever heard him "talk", this needs no explanation! The scary part is that I am actually starting to understand the mumbles and grunts!

Squish: Because, well, he is squishy! haha! He's a giant squishy toddler!
**Side Note (Totally off the subject): I have changed my settings to allow comments from everyone. So, if you want to leave one, you should be able to. If there is a problem, let me know.

Busy, Busy

...Not exactly. But I did finally find my fabric, so that entertained me for a few hours last night! I managed to make a hooded towel for Harrison. (His original, is in a bad way!)
And a Super Jackson cape that I have been promising for months. (Super Harrison's is still in the works!) Jackson is our super star! All drama, that kid! If he's not singing or acting something out, he is in his own little world. But he cracks me up! And yes, he is in his whitie-tighties! Sorry 'bout that!
I also remembered to take pictures of the boys in their new church cloths today! (They are SO cute and I got both their outfits for less than $30! I was proud! Although I am kicking myself for not getting Harrison's a size bigger!)
I love these boys, to the moon and back! They never stop making me laugh! I told them to pose. Harrison is so GQ, I love that he even pushed his hips to one side! Oh, I just want to squeeze him all the time, he melts my heart! And Jackson thinks this is a model pose...no more Top Model for you buddy! Lol! But he sure is handsome...and tan! :)

"That was totally WICKED!"

We had a fun filled day off with dad yesterday! (We LOVE when he is home!) It started with a trip to the pool, swimming is one of the boys favorite things in the whole world. And every time we go, they get braver and more daring!!! Of course, some things are just better when dad is around, and doing tricks in the pool is one of those things!
Jackson called this "surfing"! It was hilarious, every time he fell he would come out of the water and yell "That was totally WICKED!". Well technically we would all yell it together, so there was some staring from the other people at the pool!
Harrison LOVES the water, he just wasn't his normal happy self when we went. So he only lasted about 45 minutes. But he loved hanging out on the lounge chair with me and my sunglasses! He was SO tired! (I swam too, it was too hot to just watch!)After naps, we decided to take the boys to see Ice Age 3. Jackson was bouncing out of his skin the whole way to the theater, he was so excited! I wish I had had my camera, they had their popcorn, twizzlers, and toy Diego's (from McDonald's). All ready for the show! They loved it! Patrick & I had fun too. It's a cute movie. ...Patrick is off today too, so more fun to come!

HaPPy 4TH oF JuLy!!!

So I have to start by saying, AZ is a little disappointing when it comes to delivering on my favorite holiday, I'm not going to lie! They don't allow personal fireworks, and that even includes sparklers. There aren't any major parades, which is totally weird! And the actual fireworks show that our little town put on, were projected on a big screen! Needless to say, I was a little bummed going into the holiday, but to my surprise it ended up being a lot more fun than I thought it would! On the 3rd we had a ward BBQ, we didn't quite make it there on time. I had been having a particularly difficult day and as we were getting ready to leave, Patrick got home from work. So, we took the boys to McDonald's and then hit the block party at our neighbors' home to watch the Casino fireworks (which were actual fireworks, and not too bad!)! The boys looked so cute, they loved the fireworks and playing with the other kids and their glow-sticks!

This is them being fireworks!
Poor Harrison, this was at 10:00 am on the 4th! Partying is hard on this kid!! (And yes, that is my grown-up bed!)
Saturday Patrick had to work again, but just a day shift, which is a nice change from what he's used to on the 4th! We planned to just stay home, since he wouldn't be off in time to go anywhere. But we ended up hanging out, watching movies, and playing games into the wee hours of the morning with some neighbors who were also home without plans for the night! lol! (Thankfully, we aren't the only ones who have a crazy schedule and never go anywhere!) We did have a really good time, and we got to know our neighbors better too, which was nice!!

Their patriotic shirts from Grandma! (Thanks for the glow sticks too! :))
Jackson's lion. (I haven't painted a face in a LONG time, but luckily he didn't really care how it looked!) He really wanted to go to the carnival they had here in our community, but it was bloody hot and crowded! And all he really wanted was his face painted! So I figured we could wing it! Harrison had a frog, but I somehow missed getting a picture of it! haha!

I'm glad we got to have some fun, and most importantly, together! This holiday means so much to me! I have a very deeply rooted love for this country and what it means to be an American and a Patriot. I am so grateful for this country and the freedoms we have here! And I am so incredibly grateful for the thousands and thousands of lives that have been spent and given to make and keep it free! My thanks goes out to everyone who serves or has served, in any capacity, to make this country better and safer! (That includes the families that serve right along with them!) It's a chosen place, I have no doubt. God bless the USA!

Nothing New...

So I have wanted to blog really bad and there has been absolutely NOTHING to blog about! Which totally sucks because I have been so frustrated with everyone else and their lack of posts! There's more to life than Facebook people! lol!

Monsoon season is upon us. The rain finally got here yesterday. It wasn't as impressive here as it was around us, the storms seemingly hit everywhere but here! So now it is EXTREMELY humid and hot! But the lightening storms are pretty amazing!

I am feeling better, for the most part! I still don't have an appetite and most things don't agree with this baby. But my stomach no longer hurts for no reason, so that is definitely something! lol! ...On a side note: I might get rid of that stinking pregnancy ticker, man does that thing seem to stop time! Nothing like counting the days for almost a year! lol!

And we had our first Margarita Party last night! The boys were totally sold! haha! We wanted snow cones, but the syrups were sold out everywhere! So we settled for Margarita cocktail mixes (after I spent 10 minutes convincing Patrick the mixes do NOT include alcohol!)! Strawberry and Pina Colada! Delish! Other than that, life goes on! I really wish I had something to blog about! (I will probably regret saying that!) Everyone is healthy and mostly happy! But for now, that's it! :)

My First Grown-Up Bed

In the 6+ years we have been married, we haven't ever had really nice bedding. It didn't even always match! lol! I haven't bought new sheets in like 5 years (I know... but they are expensive and we always needed something else more. ie. diapers, etc.). Which was kind of ok, because for some reason our bed was always where babies would spit up or throw up or whatever!

So my mom let me pick out a new bedspread before we moved and ordered it for us! (Thank you, Mom!) And since we had this nice new bedding, I figured it was about time we had sheets that match and have more than a 150 thread count! haha! I LOVE IT! I was so giddy when I got it all put together yesterday, Patrick was making fun of me! But it's SO nice to sleep in MY bed, that looks like I want it to! LOVE IT, LOVE IT! Thanks again, Mom! Did I mention that I LOVE IT!?

**Next step will be some paint!!!! Every wall in my house is that color! I could puke brown! Seriously! lol!
