I made these 2 hooded towels (and 2 others for some twin boys who had a birthday, theirs had their first initial) this week. No, the pink is not wishful thinking! I made them for a RS Service Auction. I figured I would take advantage of the opportunity to make something pink. :) They were a hit! It kind of made me laugh, I had about a dozen people ask me how much I sell them for! I laughed because...it's a towel and they take like 20 minutes to make! But I have to say thanks to Liseanne for giving me the pattern! I will now be sewing towels until Christmas! LOL (And no, I am not charging for them, just the cost of the towel!) ...I need to find me a fabric resource pronto! (Other than Wally World)

Gifts, Give-Aways & Goodies!
So I have been trying to keep myself busier, with things other than the normal cleaning and folding and diapers! I desperately miss having hobbies! And while I am waiting on my scroll saw, belt sander and vinyl letter machine ;) .... I have been left to my sewing machine and the kitchen!

And then there was the cake! Patrick volunteered me to make his favorite fresh strawberry cake (usually we do raspberry) for a work BBQ they were having today! I wouldn't have minded making it, except that it takes a couple of hours (there are steps), so it took up most of the morning. And I won't even get a piece! But hopefully it will have the effect he was hoping for, and make him the most popular guy on his shift! LOL (I had to take a pic, it turned out so pretty! The raspberries are usually so lumpy! haha!) But to be fair, he did spend his awake time this morning folding laundry, so I probably got the better end of that deal!

The boys got in on the action too. They enjoyed the spoils (and the best part) of making a cake! They are really great beater lickers! :)

Those towels are so CUTE!!!. The cake looks great too. I can't believe those thunder storms. You all look great. I loved the other comments. Look at the crafty women coming out in you. Add a few more things to the want list and you will be set.
I'm so proud of you. I never thought you'd EVER sew when you were growing up(LOL)!! Glad to see a little of your Mom come out in you. :) Ditto to Angie's comments. Your time is always worth something. Add a little for your time. I miss those boys and my girl! I love you so much. Proud to be your Mom!!!
Ha ha! The towels are darling! Where I live is called the rabbit huts! (it is BYU student married housing....go figure) so there is at least a baby born every other week just in our ward alone! I need to get that pattern from you if it really is as simple as you say! And that cake looked really yummy! I wish I would have been working for his company that day! (I am most excited for you to get your scroll saw though. They are so fun!) Glad things are going well!
