We started out the night before with egg coloring. They really like to combine colors... they ended up with what they called camo colored eggs... so they were happy. :)
We also read scriptures from the last week of the Saviors life while we made Resurrection Rolls to have with dinner. What a fun way to talk about why we celebrate this day. And the are delicious! :) I think this will become a new tradition.

Easter morning! They are always so excited about their baskets, even when there isn't anything exciting in them. ;) Sis was still sleeping when we took the picture... but it should be noted that under that binky there is a real life smile!
All dressed up! I love those faces!
She found the candy! Hahaha.
After church the big boys got to roll some eggs while the littles took a nap. Egg Rolling is a sport from my childhood. Growing up, you couldn't eat an egg unless you rolled it first. ;) It's basically a fast way to crack an egg with some fun competition thrown in.
After naps, we headed to the Elam's for dinner and some egg hunting with friends! It was a fun group. The Elam, Christensen, Parker, Swain clan! :)
Love these kids! (Even the redhead that cries all the time. Seriously, who's kid is that?!) One of my very favorite holidays, because of why we celebrate. Because of Him my happiness is mine forever! And I honestly can't imagine this life without that knowledge and promise and hope!
HAPPY EASTER!
