(Making faces for the camera.)
The Cardiologist also looked into her other anomalies and took it upon himself to do some research. After we left he called us at home to let us know he had found a syndrome that fit her. I'm not going to get into details about it now, we don't know for sure that it is what she has, but we are going to do some more heart related tests. If the syndrome is what she has we will need to know before she can have surgery on her foot, anesthesia can be a problem. He is also going to help us get genetic testing started and try to get us in to the geneticist. (Apparently there is only one in Tucson and it can take a year to see him... but, lucky for us, he happens to be in the same building as the Cardiologist.) So we go from here. On the plus side, we know her heart is good! Thank Heaven! And we know she is gaining weight and growing! Woot Woot! ...But unfortunately, we have more questions to be answered.
(Church is exhausting! And that outfit is to die for!) :)
I debated on whether or not to write about all of this, we want to let everyone know how things are going and this is our scrapbook... but we don't want to talk about the syndrome in question. If the time comes, when we know for sure, then there will be a discussion. But for now, we'd like to leave it in the hands of the doctors. And lets be honest, with the Internet and the name of any health issue, you can get A LOT of info, none of which would be specific to her. So for now it's better left unsaid.
With that said, I just want to end this post by saying how overwhelmingly grateful we are for our little girl! We love her SO much! (And who couldn't love that face?!) We are also very grateful that her little heart is healthy! It's an important part and we are ecstatic that it is in working order! :) Thank you for all of your love and support and prayers! THANK YOU! Really, really!

I'm so happy to hear that her heart is healthy! I'm sure it's harder on mom than her to go through all of it but that is fabulous news! We'll continue to keep her (and your family) in our prayers. She is beautiful - I can't wait to meet her in person.
