Our Little Padwan
Jackson has bec
ome OBSESSED with Star Wars (thanks to the Chapmans!) so we are all going to get into it a little for Halloween. Jackson is going to be Luke Skywalker, and I was finally able to make his cloak today! He looks so cute! Now I just have to finish another (smaller) jedi cloak for Harrison, he is going to be Yoda. Patrick is going to be Darth Vader, which leaves me with Amidala. (Yikes, I have my work cut out for me!)

Holy Crap, it looks like a quilt!
It turns out that sewing squares together was right up my skill level alley! Just don't look too close, especially if you are a pro-
quilter! Because it is my first!!! (And no, the pink is not an announcement! It's for a friend.) But I have to say, I could totally get into this, which would hopefully mean I would eventually get better at it too!
And a HUGE THANK YOU to Liseanne and Mom for your patience and help! It would still be just a bunch of squares sewn together without you!
(Now looking at the picture I realized it looks a little like a lopsided rectangle, but I swear on my life it's just the angle! It's not quite that bad!) LOL!
**Up next had better be pictures of my remodeled bathroom! :) Renovations with small children have become my enemy! ...That and drywall!

Being Sick Sucks!
Where the Hell is Ajo, Arizona
In case you hadn't already heard, Border Patrol has extended an offer to Patrick. Apparently there is a place in Arizona named Ajo and it needs a border patrol agent if you know anyone who might be interested! It's on a Indian reservation just north of the Mexican border and has a population of less than 300. (No, I did not forget any zeros!) And after some research we discovered that there isn't any civilization around Ajo either! There isn't even a Wal-Mart for 2 HOURS in any direction! How do these people survive?! ...So needless to say, he was pretty bummed at the offer and even more disappointed to have to turn it down after all the effort and waiting! But we are still hopeful that they will counter with somewhere that has a few more people!
Maybe he should have lied and told them he only speaks English, I bet all those guys get to go to Tuscan and Phoenix!

Day 942 of Potty Training...
Although I have to say, that is one killer wedding video picture for the future! He even looks like he knows this picture is going to come back to haunt him someday!

The Longest Saturday EVER!
Well, we survive
d! We were up at 6 am - driving by 7:30 - there at 10:30 - on our way home by 3:30 - and home by 6:30. My boys were troopers, tired and sick, bless their hearts! They slept the WHOLE way home!
The funeral was very nice, very emotional, but everything really was beautiful! Mom gave a great tribute to Grandma and made everyone laugh ...and cry! We all got to say good
bye. Even Jackson, although he doesn't really understand ...one of the perks of being a kid! For a fleeting moment in life as a little person, the world is perfect and life is so simple! Sometimes I wish they could stay like this forever! :)

Flashback Friday!
At the Layton City 4th of July Parade with Grandma, Patrick was on his bike! (He's the one in the back!)
Our first trip to the Dinosaur Park, Jackson got to go as a reward for potty training!
UPDATE: Jackson is now afraid of Dinosaurs!
Yes! Those are his muscles!
We did some 4-wheeling, swimming and relaxing! It was fun!
TGI Friday!
Yesterday we got to go to the Davis County Gala at the Conference Center in Layton! It was very fancy-shmancy, so we felt a little out of place, but Patrick got to try out his new suit! (He was the hottest guy there!) It was actually a lot of fun, the food rocked and we got to see Collin Raye! (I will have to post the picture later, we don't have it yet!) And thank you to uncle Kenny for being the babysitter, sick kid and all!
Tomorrow we will be driving 3 hou
rs down to Richfield for Grandma D's funeral, and then 3 hours back! It is going to be a long day! And hopefully our family can survive that long in a car together! ...Thanks to everyone for your love and support, we sincerely appreciate it!
